Africa, the cradle of humanity, is the second-largest continent in the world and one of the birthplaces of ancient civilizations.
“Volare Over Earth: Episode I · Africa” breaks the standards of global aerial documentary filming, becoming the world’s first 10K full-scale cinematic production focused entirely on Africa.
The filming team spent 1,095 days, flew over 17,000 kilometers, and visited 17 countries. Beyond capturing world-class landscapes such as the Sahara Desert, the Nile River, and the East African Rift—the largest desert, longest river, and largest rift on Earth—they also focused on fragile natural wonders listed in 100 Places About to Disappear: the Maasai Mara and Mount Kilimanjaro affected by extreme climate, and the ecologically threatened Okavango Delta.
More than preserving these breathtaking landscapes for future generations, the immersive flight experience invites passengers to feel Africa with all five senses. Suspended in mid-air, facing Africa’s stunning vistas firsthand, participants are encouraged to deepen their environmental awareness as global citizens and plant the seeds for sustainable coexistence with our planet for generations to come.
